Automation trade shows for your diary

This month, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) saw tech companies from across the world launch their next generation innovations. From 5G phones and 8K TVs to smart doorbells — even a banned sex toy — CES gave insight into the next products to hit the shelves. Here Leah Elston-Thompson, senior account executive at Stone Junction, discusses three upcoming automation events that you can’t miss.

Trade shows are an important way to meet customers, generate sales leads and gain media coverage. You might be overwhelmed by the vast number of events that take place every year, but don’t worry. Here’s three automation events we’d recommend focussing your attention on.

Automate
This year’s Automate is being held from April 8 to 11 at McCormick Place in Chicago. As North America’s leading automation event, Automate is a great show to exhibit at, attend, or follow the online coverage of.

You might call us biased, but we suggest visiting TM Robotics, which is launching Toshiba Machine's THE600 SCARA robot at the show. Combining high speed operation with a high payload capacity, the THE600 model has been developed to meet growing demand for fast-cycle automation.

Hannover Messe
A staple in the automation industry’s diary is Hannover Messe in Germany. Held this year from April 1 to 5, the event boasts over 210,000 visitors and 6,500 exhibitors. If you’re planning a visit, why not drop by Beckhoff in hall 9, stand F06. The company will be presenting its complete range of PC- and EtherCAT-based automation systems.

Last year’s show themes were virtual and augmented reality, 3D printing and robotics and automation. The website is already loaded with product innovations for 2019, which you can view here.

Advanced Manufacturing
From June 4 to 6, Advanced Manufacturing will return to the NEC in Birmingham. Co-located with Subcon and The Engineer Expo, this year’s event is highly anticipated. This year, you’ll find metrology and additive manufacturing expert, Renishaw in Hall 3 on stand B69. If you want to witness the latest in metal 3D printing and measurement, this is the place to be.

At Stone Junction, we love a trade show. From CES to TCT, we keep our eyes peeled for the latest products and trends in the technology industry. If you’re looking for a PR agency to support your attendance at an event, get in touch on 01785 225416 or e-mail leah@stonejunction.co.uk.
