Dine out on your media success

Food processing media | Media relations | Trade media
Getting your message in front of the right audience relies on appearing in the trade magazines they read, which means understanding media outlets and sector-specific PR. This is easier said than done when you consider the volume of trade press out there, particularly in the vertical food manufacturing sectors. Don’t fret, we’ve got your back with this handy guide to the food processing press.

In no particular order, let’s look at some of the most popular magazines that cover food processing topics that you could approach with editorial submissions.

Food & Drink International
Edited by Steve Fisher, Food & Drink International covers production, packaging and supply chain issues on its website and in a monthly print publication that has an estimated circulation of over 17,000. The magazine prides itself on its editorial focus, taking contributed articles from industry leaders.

Food Manufacture
Food Manufacture is part of the William Reed Business Media publishing house and is edited by Rod Addy. Each edition of the publication runs a feature on processing and operations, and the monthly features calendar for 2019 can be found here.

The website is updated daily and covers sector specific stories, as well as articles on broader topics such as the impact of Brexit on the food manufacturing industry, or the skills gap in engineering. With a domain authority of 58, your website will get some bonus points for backlinks from Food Manufacture.

Food Processing
The monthly printed magazine, Food Processing, is widely regarded as one of the most respected titles in the sector. It is an IML Group publication edited by Suzanne Gill that is circulated to roughly 8,000 people.

With a focus on processing technology and systems, this magazine is the ideal place for businesses providing food manufacturers with machinery or tools. However, contributed content should focus on technology or trends, not sales messages.

Of course, there is also a massive array of niche magazines for every sector of food processing, such as Meat & Poultry or Potato Processing International. If you can manufacture it, there’s probably a magazine for it.
