#1 Set goals
Both in life and in PR, setting goals is a crucial part of accomplishing great things. While successful public relations and marketing remains a priority for most SMEs and entrepreneurs, there needs to be more detail in this goal than simply ‘success’.

#2 Produce regular content
Websites crammed with high quality original content have long enjoyed the benefits of an elevated domain authority and high search engine positions. For many SMEs, one of the most difficult parts of posting regular content is finding the time and inspiration to do so.
Do not be afraid to comment on industry news or produce opinionated and thought-leading content. There’s nothing wrong with offering advice and tips to other organisations in your industry. After all, content is not just about generating sales but positioning yourself and your company as an industry expert.
Create a plan to produce and post content on a fortnightly, weekly or even daily basis and before you know it, you will be reaping the rewards too.
#3 Do something that scares you
Clichéd I know, but hear me out. I’m not talking about swimming with sharks or jumping out of planes - although you may see a little more of that from the Stone Junction team in 2016.
It could be as simple as nominating yourself for an industry award, hosting or creating an event or just testing out a new marketing strategy you have never attempted before. Without a doubt, the only way to grow is to try something new.
