So here’s the deal; you see something weird, maybe it’s the strange object your neighbour is waving around or even an animal you’ve never seen before. You post to Twitter and no one knows what it is, you post to Facebook and your friends are just as baffled as you are. In comes Jelly, circle it, post it and wait for another Jelly user to tell you the answer.
The app already has a blog set up with some strong content suggesting that the theory of “six degrees of separation” is now down to four because of social networking and mobile phones. The words ‘Let’s help each other’ are prominent on the blog. For social media marketing, helpfulness is a really important tactic -particularly in a B2B environment.
This time last year we saw the launch of Vine and through the following months watched it take off enormously. So if you’re feeling curious, hit the app store in a few days, download and start posting. It will be interesting to see how effective the network is in a B2B environment and is certainly something I’m going to keep an eye out for.
I would be really curious to know what would happen if you posted a picture of a new product that you are launching. Let’s say you post a picture of an inverter, a bearing or a transformer, for arguments sake. Would this result in people correctly identifying the kind of product you’ve posted?
Could that have an impact on sales? Could it have an impact on SEO? Oh, how my love of social media grows.
