Happy New Year!
As we wind down and wrap up for the winter break this year, we take a moment to look back at what 2013 meant to Stone Junction. The year has flown by and we've been as busy as ever. There have been good times and not so great times, but looking back on it, we're proud to say we've taken all the challenges head on, and had some amazing accomplishments over the past twelve months.

The year started off with a move to a new, larger and friendlier office, which could accommodate several new staff. As the saying goes, build it and they will come. Fair enough, the only thing we built was the office furniture, but the new team members didn't take long in arriving.

I might be a little bit biased, but I think that one of Stone Junction's most important accomplishments in 2013 was hiring three new members of staff, effectively doubling in size. Ashleigh was the first to join the team in February and soon introduced the exceptionally efficient clippings service which all of our clients know and love.

In September, Zaf and I also joined the team, bringing some new languages and skill sets to Stone Junction. In fact, we've got a few surprises lined up for you in 2014. But enough about that for now, we don't want to spoil the mystery.

Getting shortlisted for two categories of the CIPR Awards - Outstanding small consultancy and Best low buget PR campaign - was another milestone this year. Despite not winning, we like to think we came close. Plus, there's always next year.

One thing we did win, however, was the Unitemp of the year award, which Zaf smashed earlier this month. Go Zaf!

We're also keeping our fingers crossed for Ashleigh, who has recently been nominated for the Apprentice of the year category (more like "the century") in the 2013 Sentinel Business Awards.

2013 has also brought some amazing new clients to the Stone Junction portfolio. This year we started working with Birches Head Academy, the CLPA, KJB, Harmonic Drive, Yokogawa UK, the Stafford Gatehouse Theatre and bITjAM.

Another thing we've been working particularly hard on this year, alongside expanding our team and our client base, is our blog. You might have noticed that - to your complete delight, I'm sure - for the last four months, our blog posts have been hitting your inbox on a daily basis.

We're going to keep at it, but only after having a quick look at what our most popular blog posts this year were. And here they are, in all their glory!

It would seem our readers are quite interested in SEO and marketing tips, as well as new technology and apps. These are only a few of the areas we'll be focussing our blog on in 2014.

On that cheerful note, we're going to crack open a bottle of sherry and enjoy a mince pie, put our feet up and relax over the winter holidays. From all of us, here at Stone Junction, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
