Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it’s off to the awards we go…

Stone Junction has been shortlisted by the CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) in the Outstanding Small Consultancy and Best Low Budget PR Campaign categories of the professional body’s 2013 Midland’s CIPR PRide Awards.

Wasn’t Stone Junction shortlisted for an award last year too, I hear you ask? Well the answer to that question is a proud yes and this year, we've doubled our achievements. Our efforts have resulted in the team being shortlisted for, not one but two awards!

Unfortunately, this time around, Oana hasn't “laid another golden egg” (I’m not sure if that is unfortunate or not, actually) as she suggested in last year’s blog post. Instead both she and Ashleigh have frantically searched the internet, for a brand new pair of shoes to wear on the night of the ceremony.

Richard, on the other hand, the least shoe fanatical member of the team has developed what could be described as short-term memory loss - he can’t help but remind every human being on earth that we’ve been shortlisted more than twice a day.

But who can blame him? The CIPR PRide Awards recognise the outstanding talents and achievements of public relations practitioners across the UK’s regions and nations. They are the most prestigious and rigorous awards of their kind.

The CIPR is a professional body for public relations in the UK and the largest of its type in Europe. The CIPR advances the public relations profession in the UK by making its members accountable through a code of conduct, developing policies, representing its members and raising standards through education and training.

The PRide award winners are due to be announced at a sophisticated black-tie awards dinner on Friday, November 8 at the Hilton Metropole Hotel, Birmingham. At least it will be sophisticated until we arrive and lower the tone.
