Fresh blood at Stone Junction

Oana Baetica, Stone Junction's
newest recruit. Don't mention vampires
though, despite today's Blog title.
You might have noticed that in the last few days our blog entries have been posted by a new face, or rather new user. You may also recall that around a month or so I was posting an advert for a PR account executive opening.

I am now happy to report that we have found our new team member in the person of Oana Baetica, who joined us here at Stone Junction last Wednesday. So, here is a bit of information about Oana’s experience and academic achievements.

After finishing her BA in Communications and PR, Oana started work as in-house PR Executive for Mayr Melnhof Packaging – an award winning carton and cardboard manufacturer. Here she was involved in organizing and managing media relations for the company’s CSR campaign: Origami Clubs for Children. As primary point of contact for new business, she was instrumental in writing press releases, newsletters and adverts targeting blue chip companies such as Bosch, Henkel, Procter & Gamble and Unilever.

Subsequent to completing her Master’s degree in Applied Communication Oana was recruited by Telford-based SAFE Training Ltd. Here, her responsibilities included drafting press releases and newsletters and selling them into sector-specific publications.

Furthermore, Oana also managed the Smiles of the Security Industry Campaign in collaboration with The National Skills Academy for Hospitality, which drew media attention to the individuals working in the private security sector. The purpose of this campaign was to shed a positive light onto the sector and its professionals, by illustrating their client facing skills.

Oana reliably informs me that she is very excited about meeting all of our engineering communications clients, as well as the journalists we work with.
