Media moves; proof that Stafford is now a media hub

Stafford Castle: In Stafford, which is a media hub you know?There has been a rash of office moves this week, with a number of publications in the engineering and building sectors moving home. Perhaps the most significant of these is the decision of Link2.Media to move to Stafford. Could this indicate that my own home town is now becoming a key media hub in the UK? ;-)

Never before and never again will I use a ‘smiley’ in a Blog post; but this time I just had to. Anyway, on to the media moves:

Professional Engineering, the fortnightly engineering bible, is now published by Caspian Publishing. As a result it has moved offices to 198 Kings Road, London, SW3 5XP. All right for some; nip out and do a bit of shopping at lunchtime, bite to eat in a funky bistro...

A1 Media has launched A1 Lighting and A1 Retail magazines with Lyndsey Hubbard as editor. A1 Lighting and A1 Retail contain “news, projects and comment from leading voices in”, unsurprisingly, “lighting and retail”.

Meanwhile, Oliver Jahn has been appointed deputy editor in chief at the German monthly newspaper AD Architectural Digest.

And finally, Link2.Media Business Publishing Ltd, publisher of titles such as Building Innovations and Specifier Select, has moved offices. The company is now based at Barn 3, Dunston Business Village, Stafford Road, Dunston, Stafford ST18 9AB. Welcome to the ‘Ford Link2.Media...
